LCC Campus Upgrade
As many of you know, there are a few things around the LCC Campus that need some upkeep. Some things need to be upgraded for maintenance, others for efficiency, and a few things for growth. The Elders are in the process of outlining a multi-phase plan that will span around a year. Phase 1 of this plan has already been approved and will begin immediately. The Auditorium will begin to be renovated this coming Sunday (November 1). The stage will be torn up, one side room demolished, new equipment installed, new flooring laid down, and everything covered in new paint.
We are presenting this plan to the church and asking for contributions. As much as we want to do these things, we know that it is not wise to do anything that we do not have funds to do. So, we are committed to only completing upgrades that we receive the funds to do. We are asking everyone in the LCC Community to consider and give to this cause above and beyond our normal giving.
One of the other major pieces of this plan is to pay off what is remaining on our note for the Community Building. Around 10 years ago, LCC built the Community Building for around $500,000 and we still owe around $31,000. 20% of all funds raised for the Campus Upgrade Plan will be paid to the note, until it is completely paid off. We greatly value good stewardship of what God has given us, and we believe it is wise to pay our debts on past projects.
The details of the further phases of the Campus Upgrade Plan are in the process of being finalized. This plan will be presented in full to the Church as soon as it is ready, hopefully within the next month.
God has blessed us greatly in our recent history, and he continues to provide for us in every way. Please be praying for this plan and the wisdom behind it.
Grace and Peace,
LCC Elders
