LCC Fit
LCC is proud to announce a new ministry: LCC Fit.
Recently, Governor Perry issued a challenge to the state of Texas challenging Texans to EXERCISE 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week. Locally, Longview is responding to this challenge by forming an organization called Get Fit Longview. Get Fit Longview, is responding by putting together a campaign that groups citizens into teams and helps them keep track of their fitness. The challenge starts March 1 and lasts for 6 weeks.
LCC is starting a team, and we would love for you to join. Healthy living is not just a practice of physical appearance, but it affects all areas of our lives... including our souls. Scripture tells us to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Exercise, fitness, and nutritious eating has been proven to not only help us feel better, but sleep better, and have a more clear and open mind. When we are not living healthy, our spiritual life suffers too.
How to get involved:
- Join our team online, and keep track of your fitness with us (be held and hold others accountable)
- Watch for future opportunities like 5k's and LCC Sports Teams (Basketball & Softball)
Jared Duncan (jareddunc@hotmail.com) has volunteered to lead the ministry, and he'll be keeping us all aware of fitness opportunities within our church and the community. Here's how to join our Get Fit Longview Team:
