Search Team Selected!

On January 10th and 11th, we hosted a Leadership Retreat at LCC and God moved in a great display of unity, direction, and purpose.  The 65 adults present came together and discovered anew their part in the body of Christ as key "instrument players" in the symphony being played out in this local body.  The group came together and heard the elders give an overview of where we are today as a church family:  our strengths as a church and our growth areas. 

This led into a snapshot of how we will move into the next year together as a group of ministires, small groups, teams, and individuals moving forward as a church family.  It is so encouraging to see so many folks excited about life at LCC and their desire to see this church serve together and grow together in our community.  The end of the retreat outlined the details regarding the "Teaching Minister" staff position to be filled, including roles and responsibilities. 

The entire group present selected six people to serve on a search team along with Greg Bayne and Tim Bosecker.  What a joy to see God move in the selection of a team of godly leaders willing to come together to seek out this person whom God has already prepared!  The six people selected were Dell Bledsoe, Jackie Duncan, Jason Jones, Matt Mitchell, Jodi Sieh,  and Ruth Stoddard.  This team has already begun to meet and form a process to be used in the recruiting and selecting of possible candidates for this role.  Be praying for this team as they seek to discern God's will in this next chapter in the life of LCC.
