Highlight Night Reflections!

I must say that after 17 years of hosting this amazing event called Highlight Night I would figure it out!  People in the Longview community LOVE it, look forward to it, and bring new people every year to experience it!  This year was no exception as over 1700 guests (parents and kids) flooded the campus of LCC on October 31st!  Truly amazing....

We had over 200 LCC volunteers run booths, park cars, serve food, register guests, patrol security, provide encouragement, decorate buildings, deliver supplies, donate candy, and run sound!  If you had ANY part in the hands and feet of this event then I applaud all you did.  I have a sneaky feeling that some of you were also praying for this event and I believe God showed up and enjoyed the party that evening!  I've talked with many of our guests since the event and the overwhelming message they give us is this : THANK YOU! 

We may not see the fruit of this event immediately.  We might not even see it on this side of eternity.  But, if one family was touched by your love, generosity, and compassion then it was worth it.  I happen to know that many, not just one, were touched in this way.

Highlight Night was a great success this year and I look forward to seeing how God directs us in the months and years to come in serving the people in East Texas!
